Spiderkin Mage

Overview
The Spiderkin Mage is a hostile mob found during Spider Castle Incursions. It is one of the spider-themed enemies encountered in the event and adds a lingering area-denial threat to fights inside the castle.
Its main attack is to summon a large golden web at the player’s location. This web deals damage over time to anyone caught in it, so standing still for too long is dangerous. Because the attack targets the player’s position, constant movement is the safest way to reduce the chance of being trapped by the web’s damage zone.
- Keep moving during the fight rather than backing into a corner.
- Watch for the web placement and leave the area immediately if one appears under you.
- Since the web deals damage over time, even brief exposure can become costly if you remain inside it.
- Prioritize the Spiderkin Mage when it appears alongside other Incursion enemies, as its attack can force bad positioning and make the rest of the fight harder.
In practice, the Spiderkin Mage is a positioning check: it does not need complex mechanics to be dangerous, because the web attack punishes players who are distracted by other enemies or who hesitate after entering its area.
