Parsnip

Parsnip is a crop that can be harvested after four days of growth. It progresses through four one-day stages before it is ready to harvest, making it one of the quicker early-game crops to grow.

Parsnip has several uses beyond simple sale value. It is used in the Spring Foraging Bundle, and five gold-quality Parsnips can be submitted for the Quality Crops Bundle. It also has utility in tailoring: placing Parsnip in the spool of the Sewing Machine with Cloth in the feed produces a dyeable item, and using it with a dyeable clothing item makes it yellow dye. Parsnip can also be placed in the yellow dye pot at Emily and Haley's house for dyeing.

It is also relevant to questing. A Parsnip is required for the "Getting Started" quest, and it may be randomly requested in Spring on the Help Wanted board outside Stone's General Store for a reward of gold and 150 Friendship points.
