The Molten Quarries are lava-rock dungeon areas in the Desert of Beginnings that require high Mining damage to break through. They are late-game locations, and the larger quarries contain the Ancient Forge and the site of Igneous the Molten Mass. Smaller quarries usually contain little loot, although one of the smaller ones can generate with a Splendid Amalgam that grants maximum health.

These areas are primarily explored for their loot and progression rewards. The Molten Quarries can contain Galaxite ore, and their chests and drops can make them worthwhile for players gearing up for the late game.

• Because the quarries are typically accessed late, fast crowd-clearing weapons are especially useful. Stormbringer is the preferred option for handling groups, while Galaxite Sword, Octarine Bow, and Galaxite Chakram can also work if you have room to kite enemies.
• The enemies in these areas can be dangerous in close quarters, so backing up and dodging is important when using slower weapons.
• Fire immunity is very helpful here. Cosmos armor can provide immunity to fire damage, and food made with Verdant or Elder Dragonfish can also grant fire immunity.
• The Galaxite Chakram is particularly effective in the quarry’s tight spaces because it can bounce and ricochet across walls, hitting multiple enemies.
• Useful loot from the Molten Quarries includes the Burnzooka, Lava Battle Axe, and Miner’s armor, with the full set providing a bonus to Melee Damage from Mining damage.
