The Drill interacts with the Meticulous miner talent, which gives the player a chance to gain extra ore when mining one.

Ores are crafting materials used to craft metal bars, and most are found embedded within specific types of blocks. Ore boulders can also appear rarely throughout the world, containing 1,800 ore of their respective type. Some ores can be found in Sand Blocks near their usual host blocks, while others are dropped from special sources or do not have an associated ore boulder at all.

• Ores are easiest to spot in dark areas, where they are marked by white sparkles.
• The Drill benefits from ore-related mining bonuses when used on ore-bearing targets.
• The Meticulous miner talent can provide extra ore from mining actions.
