Festoons
Overview
Festoons are decorative hanging furniture pieces that can be crafted after learning their recipes from Blueprints. They are part of the broader pergola-style decoration set and are used to add overhead detail to builds without fully blocking the space beneath them. The available festoon variants include the curtain festoon, festive festoon, and vine festoon.
Their recipes can be learned by studying a Blueprint, which can be obtained from completing NPC Jobs, from the random rotation on the table in Crafting Lab Deed and Jimmy's Boat, or from chests found in the Undergrove, Island Reef, and Hot Hot Hot. Once learned, the recipes appear in the Crafting Table. The festive festoon is a special case and can only be crafted with Nick during December.
Festoons are best placed after laying down grass or paths underneath them, since they are intended to sit over finished ground rather than bare terrain. They work well as overhead accents for gardens, courtyards, walkways, and themed builds.
- Other items and decorations can be placed under pergolas and festoons.
- The obstacle detection area for pergolas and festoons uses the four corner tiles.
- Any tile under a festoon, except the corners, can be decorated.
- Because of this placement rule, festoons are useful for building layered outdoor spaces without losing decorative flexibility below them.
The recipe list includes multiple separate craftable outputs, with each variant using its own ingredient combination. The base selling price is listed for the recipe outputs, but the values are not shown in the source table.
