Hover Boots

Hover Boots are a reward for completing the Plains Cave Adventure Journal Challenge. They let the user hover, giving a large mobility boost in the early game.

Hovering consumes stamina. After you stop hovering, there is a short delay before stamina begins regenerating. If you use all of your stamina, that delay becomes much longer and prevents any stamina use until stamina is fully restored again, so it is best to stop hovering before you run dry.

Hovering also prevents contact with Lava, which makes Hover Boots useful for crossing dangerous terrain. They have slower acceleration than sprinting, but a higher top speed, so they are especially good for travel. In combat, however, they are less useful than Force of Wind, Leather Dashers, Zephyr Boots, Wind Boots, or Ghost Boots.
