Hoverboard

The Hoverboard is a later-game mount that is obtained as a quest reward from the town Elder. It functions as a fast travel mount once acquired, giving the player a mobile option that is distinct from ordinary movement and early mounts.

The Hoverboard accelerates gradually and has relatively limited steering, so it handles more like a momentum-based vehicle than a nimble mount. It can bounce off objects such as trees and keep most of its speed, which makes it useful in open areas and in terrain where preserving momentum matters. Because of this, it rewards planning your route ahead of time rather than making frequent sharp turns.

A useful interaction is that activating the Hoverboard immediately after using Force of Wind will start it at maximum speed. This makes the two especially effective when used together, allowing for very quick bursts of movement.

• Best used in long, open stretches where its speed can build up without constant steering corrections.
• Its collision behavior lets you skim past obstacles without losing all momentum, which can help maintain travel speed through rough terrain.
