Pest Warden

Overview
Pest Warden is a boss encountered in the Deep Swamp Caves. It is a large, segmented worm-like enemy that relies on long, looping charge patterns and tight circling attacks, making the fight especially dangerous in confined terrain.
Before summoning or engaging it, it is worth clearing out a large arena around the stone and removing mud or anything else that can slow movement. Expanding the usable space makes it much easier to avoid being trapped by its body and charges. Iron Bombs, Dynamite Sticks, and Tile Bombs are useful for quickly opening up the area, and zooming the camera out as far as possible helps track the boss during its movement patterns.
During the fight, Pest Warden will circle the player for a time, then break out of the pattern and prepare another charge. Its charges become faster as it loses health, so spacing and movement matter more as the battle goes on. Attacking during openings is important, but getting pinned by the tightening coils can end the fight quickly. The Aged Champion Shield’s ability can block damage from unavoidable contact, and it is found in loot rooms within the Deep Swamp Caves.
For weapon choices, the Galvanic Hammer is the strongest melee option against Pest Warden when used with a Bone Hilt. Area damage tools are also effective because Iron Bombs and Dynamite Sticks can hit multiple segments. Completing the Elder’s quest for Pest Warden rewards the Portal Flask.
