Battleaxe

Skull-splitter, a warrior's joy.
Overview
Battleaxe is a two-handed melee weapon designed for fighting groups of enemies. It has a slow, heavy primary combo of three attacks that can hit multiple targets without penalty, making it especially effective when surrounded. The final strike in the combo deals double damage and applies 1.5 times the stun of a normal hit. Its secondary attack is a fast forward thrust that deals half damage and stuns the target, giving the weapon a useful single-target option.
In practice, Battleaxe is a hybrid weapon with strong crowd control and respectable utility. The first hit in the combo is very slow, while the last two attacks take about the same amount of time, so the weapon’s damage output is concentrated in the latter part of the sequence. The left-click combo performs a sweeping first strike, a quick reverse-style follow-up, and a final overhead smash. The middle-click attack is faster and uses less stamina than the combo, and it is more efficient against a single enemy.
Battleaxe can also be used to chop trees, so it doubles as a backup forestry tool. Its weapon and utility stats make it a good all-around option for players who want a single large weapon that can still interact with the environment.

- Quality 1: 70 slash, 40 chop, 200 durability
- Quality 2: 76 slash, 42.5 chop, 250 durability

Battleaxe can be upgraded at the Forge, and its forge level requirements rise with each quality tier. The weapon starts at forge level 2 and increases to levels 3, 4, and 5 for later upgrades. This makes it a mid- to late-game weapon that benefits from investment, especially if you want to maximize its slash damage and durability.
