DESIGNATION: Sanc (EX/GW/TL)

CONTAINMENT PROTOCOL: All TR or research personnel visiting Anteverse 36 are required to:

  • Establish a locational beacon at the primary egress point.

  • Review position and confirm bearings every 200m if progressing further than 500m from the primary egress point.

  • Establish satellite beacons every 2500m if proceeding further than 5000m in any direction.

Overview

The World in the Mirror is a vast Anteverse accessible through the containment cell for IS-0855 on the top level of Cascade Laboratories. It is effectively an enormous open plain of grassy fields and is almost entirely featureless, making it one of the most spacious places in the game for building or exploration. Although it appears to stretch on without end, the space is not truly infinite; the world simply teleports the player back once they reach the edge, so it cannot provide unlimited build area.

The entrance is a small hallway with several locked doors and a hatch leading to the surface. GATE has established only a limited presence here, with a single powered outlet available near the open hatch. The world has no hostile entities, which makes it a calm and low-risk location for setting up a base or experimenting with large constructions.

A few practical notes are worth keeping in mind when using the area:

  • The entrance can only be opened with an Hackerman of Tier 5.
  • Because the world loops players back at its boundary, it is large enough for extensive building, but not for genuinely endless expansion.
  • If traveling far from the primary entry point, GATE containment protocol recommends placing a locational beacon at the entrance, checking position and bearings every 200 meters after moving more than 500 meters out, and establishing satellite beacons every 2500 meters once going beyond 5000 meters in any direction.
  • The single powered outlet near the hatch is the main sign of existing infrastructure and can be useful for early setup.

Its simple terrain and lack of threats make it feel unlike the more dangerous regions of the game, and its scale encourages base-building more than combat or scavenging. The broad, mostly empty landscape also gives it a strongly artificial, test-world feel, fitting its classification as an Anteverse rather than a natural wilderness.
