Glow Tulip

A precious, shimmering flower that absorbed ancient energy.
Overview
The Glow Tulip is an uncommon plant grown from Glow Tulip Seeds. It also grows naturally throughout the world, especially in the Underground, the Clay Caves, and Azeos' Wilderness. When placed in the world or held by a player, it emits a blue glow, making it useful as a portable light source as well as a collectible plant.
Glow Tulips have a few practical uses beyond lighting. They can be eaten as a quick food source, and they are the base ingredient for Salads when used in cooking. They are also used to open the scene that contains the Chipped Blade, which is one of the components needed for Rune Song.
- Glow Tulips are not just decorative; their light can help in dark underground areas.
- Because they can be found growing naturally, they are easy to gather while exploring the Underground, Clay Caves, and Azeos' Wilderness.
- They can be planted from Glow Tulip Seeds, allowing a steady supply if you want them for food or scene progression.
- Holding a Glow Tulip in front of certain scenes unlocks them, and Glow Tulips also make the walls in that scene glow.
In trivia, Glow Tulips also appear as an item in Terraria, where they summon a pet Caveling Gardener when used. The Potted Magma Tulip is described as a rare decorative strain of the Glow Tulip.
