Assembling machine 2

Assembling machine 2 is an item in Factorio used to automate the crafting of recipes. It is the second-tier assembling machine intended for intermediate automation tasks and is commonly placed in production lines to fabricate intermediate and final products.

Assembling machine 2 accepts modules and can be used in place of earlier-tier assemblers to increase throughput or change energy consumption characteristics depending on module choice. It is part of the standard progression of assembling machines and is used to improve manufacturing capacity over the base-level machine.

• An assembling machine 2 fitted with two efficiency modules consumes less energy than a single assembling machine 1 (note: comparing two installed efficiency modules in one assembling machine 2 versus one assembling machine 1).
• Consider using efficiency modules in assembling machine 2 when energy consumption is a limiting factor and when modest crafting speed is sufficient.
• Use assembling machine 2 where you need better performance than the initial assembler but do not yet require the higher throughput or advanced features of later-tier assembling machines.
