Raw resource cost is commonly summarized as the total raw components required per single Military science pack (excluding productivity bonuses). The raw resources listed for one pack are Iron plate, Copper plate, Coal and 
- Use Assembling machine 3 as the baseline when planning layout and throughput; the published minimum-assembler ratios are computed with Assembling machine 3 running at full speed and without modules or beacons.
- The ratio tables present minimal whole-number assembler counts for the pack and its intermediates; several intermediate production lines are intentionally omitted when they are assumed to be supplied in large quantities from other parts of the factory.
- When calculating raw-material supply needs, count Iron plate, Copper plate, Coal and Stone as the primary per-pack inputs (productivity module bonuses alter effective costs).
- Upstream lines referenced in ratio charts include production of Piercing rounds magazine and Grenade, plus defensive Wall construction; Piercing rounds magazine and some ammunition-related intermediates also chain back to Firearm magazine and basic metal plates.
- These planning figures apply to the normal recipe; custom game settings or mods that alter recipes, assembler speeds, modules, or beacons will change the required ratios and raw-material rates.
