Overview

Stone brick is an inventory item used to lay stone floor tiles (stone paths) in the world. When the player holds Stone brick, placing it will create stone path tiles in the targeted area; when a stone path tile is placed on top of an existing path tile of any other type, the existing tile is automatically removed and the new stone path is placed in its stead. Holding Stone brick also allows the player to pick up and remove any type of existing path tile by using the placement/removal control while targeting that tile.

Stone path placement is performed with the usual tile-placement control while Stone brick is selected. Tile removal of placed floors (including stone paths) is performed with the floor-retrieval control while holding any path item. The size of the placement area can be increased and decreased using the area adjustment controls, allowing the player to place or remove large contiguous patches of stone path more quickly.

  • Placing Stone brick over other floor types both removes the old floor and replaces it with stone path in a single action.
  • With Stone brick selected, using the placement control applies the stone tiles within the current placement area; using the floor-retrieval control removes placed floor tiles and returns them as items.
  • The placement area is adjustable; use the area increase and area decrease controls to change the brush size for faster large-scale paving or for fine, precise single-tile work.
  • Stone brick thus serves both as a construction item for building durable stone paths and as a convenient tool for clearing or converting existing floor tiles.

Stone brick is commonly used to create high-traffic walkways and to unify disparate floor layouts by converting mixed floor types into continuous stone paths. Because placement replaces existing floors automatically, paving over other surfaces is an efficient way to standardize flooring without manually removing previous tiles first. Adjusting the placement area speeds up mass paving operations while allowing exact control when limited space or precision is required.
