Poison capsule

Overview
Poison capsule is an item that generates a poisonous cloud on use. The cloud inflicts poison damage over time to entities caught within it and is large enough to affect structures and vegetation in its area.
The poison cloud deals two instances per second of 8 poison damage, for a total duration of 20 seconds. Over its full duration a single cloud can inflict up to 320 total poison damage to a target that remains inside the cloud for the entire effect. The cloud’s area and persistence are sufficient to destroy Trees when placed directly on them; care should be taken when using Poison capsule around forested or built-up areas because of collateral damage.
- Poison damage is delivered as repeated ticks (2 hits per second × 8 damage).
- Total potential damage per cloud is 320 if a target stays inside for the full 20 seconds.
- Poison clouds can destroy Trees; avoid using them near forests or wooden structures you intend to keep.
- The poison cloud’s size means it can affect multiple enemies or objects simultaneously; placement matters for maximizing effect and minimizing friendly/structure damage.
- Related capsule items include
Defender capsule,
Slowdown capsule,
Distractor capsule, and
Destroyer capsule. These items provide alternate tactical effects and should be considered when choosing a capsule for a given situation.
Use Poison capsule when you need an area-denial effect that inflicts sustained damage over time, but account for its capability to harm the environment and to damage anything that remains in the cloud.
