The Desert of Beginnings

Overview
The Desert of Beginnings is a desert biome in Core Keeper. It is a sandy region associated with oases, and it serves as a distinct area with its own sets of enemies, cattle, critters, bosses, terrain-based loot, treasures, and ore boulders.
Fishing in normal water in the Desert of Beginnings can yield biome-specific items. Doing so requires at least 220 fishing, a threshold that can be met with an Octarine Fishing Rod. This makes the biome relevant not only for exploration and combat, but also for players looking to expand their fishing results and gather desert-related rewards.
The biome also contains at least one notable natural feature: an oasis. These water pockets stand out in the otherwise dry landscape and are the clearest places to fish in the area. Because the biome has its own unique creature and item tables, it is worth visiting even after basic progression through the desert region, especially for players seeking completion or resource variety.
In practice, the Desert of Beginnings is most useful as a multi-purpose exploration zone. Players should expect it to contribute to several systems at once:
- combat, through its biome-specific enemies and bosses
- farming and collection, through cattle and critters found there
- mining and loot, through unique ore boulders, treasures, and terrain drops
- fishing, through water sources that can be fished with sufficient skill
Its place in the game makes it a biome to revisit rather than simply pass through. The combination of fishing requirements, special terrain, and biome-exclusive contents gives it value for progression, resource gathering, and collection-focused play.
