Ground Oil
Sticky material that slows down and drenches careless adventurers in fire-hazardous oil.
Overview
Ground Oil is a ground item that was obtained by digging up marked floor tiles with a shovel or hoe. Like other ground drops, its acquisition depended on the player’s digging damage stat, which affected how effectively the tile could be excavated.
Ground items were tied to specific dig spots in different biomes, including the Dirt Biome, the Clay Caves, Azeos' Wilderness, The Sunken Sea, The Desert of Beginnings, and the Molten Quarry. The item received from a dig spot was usually randomized from a loot table for that spot type, although some unique locations could yield a fixed item instead.
- Ground items are no longer obtainable as of 0.7.3-3c7e, when wall and ground items were merged; digging their tiles now drops the proper block instead.
- Dig spots could be dug with a shovel or hoe.
- Some unique-location dig spots could award specific items rather than a random result.
