The Sunken Sea

The Sunken Sea is a biome located in the outer layer of the world, beyond the Great Wall. It is intended to be the second of the three outer-layer biomes the player visits, and it is made up of beaches and oceans. A Boat is recommended for traveling through it, since much of the area is open water.

The Forlorn Metropolis sub-biomes generate within the Sunken Sea. These sub-biomes have their own unique creatures and items, so exploring the region is worthwhile even if the main biome is mostly coastal and aquatic terrain.

Fishing here follows special rules: fishing from normal water in the Sunken Sea, or from sea water in any biome, yields the Sunken Sea fishing catch table. At least 180 fishing is required, and an Octarine Fishing Rod can provide that requirement.

The biome also has its own unique creatures, critters, bosses, items from terrain, rare treasures, ore boulders, and scenes.
