Tomato Seeds grow only in summer and autumn. After being planted, they take 11 days to mature. Once fully grown, the plant yields 3 tomatoes and then continues to produce 3 more every 6 days. This makes tomatoes a steady repeat-harvest crop rather than a single-use harvest, so leaving mature plants in place is worthwhile if you want ongoing produce without replanting.

For farming, the main limitation is the season window. Because the crop only grows in summer and autumn, planting outside those seasons is not effective.
