Auto Sorter

The Auto Sorter is a Franklyn Lab invention added in the Breezy Autumn Update. It can be commissioned at Franklyn’s Lab after unlocking the berkonium-related recipes by delivering 10 Berkonium Ore and donating 1 Shiny Disc to Franklyn. Once ordered, it arrives in the mailbox the next morning.

When placed and powered through normal gameplay use, the Auto Sorter automatically shoots items to nearby storage containers that already hold matching items. This makes it useful for keeping a storage area organized without manually moving every stack. Items that do not move are usually either out of range or have no matching storage destination nearby.

A few practical points make it easier to use efficiently:

• The effective sorting area is 21×21.
• Non-stackable items will be sent to matching storage only if there is room in the destination container.
• Items that remain inside the Auto Sorter are those that could not find a valid match.
• It works well alongside storage clustered by item type, since it looks for nearby containers already holding the same item.
• The Tape Measure can be used on it to visually display its effective range, which is helpful when arranging a storage room.
• The Hand Trolley can relocate chests and other storage containers even when they contain items, making it easier to set up a sorting network before activating the sorter.

The Auto Sorter is one of several range-based utility objects affected by the Tape Measure, alongside the Advanced Cooking Table, Advanced Crafting Table, Silo, Solar Panel, Water Tank, and Windmill.
