Tape Measure
Overview
The Tape Measure is a tool purchased from John’s Goods, found in the display area on the right side where John stands. It is used to preview the effective range of range-based objects by placing a visible grid over the ground.
Using the Tape Measure once locks the measure square to the ground, letting you walk out the area you want to check. Using it again locks the grid area in place. The maximum measurement area is 31×31.
It is compatible with the Advanced Cooking Table, Advanced Crafting Table, Auto Sorter, Scarecrow, Silo, Solar Panel, Water Tank, and Windmill. The grid lights up at night, which makes it easier to see the marked space after dark, but the placed grid does not persist after reloading the game.
