Chainsaw

The Chainsaw is a tool commissioned from Franklyn’s Lab after donating 35 Shiny Discs to Franklyn and obtaining Logging Licence Level 3 from Fletch. It is delivered to the mailbox the next morning. As its name suggests, it is designed for fast woodcutting and is one of the most efficient tools for clearing plant life early and mid game once it becomes available.

The Chainsaw cuts down trees very quickly, and it can also break grasses, bushes, old barrels, and wheelie bins. It can even be used as an attack tool against animals, but its damage per hit is very low, so it is much slower than using an actual weapon for combat. To use it, hold down Left-Click or X on an Xbox controller.

A few practical points make it especially useful:

• It is best suited for large clearing jobs, especially when you want to open up land for building or farming.
• Because it can break several kinds of small obstacles, it saves time when cleaning up overgrown areas.
• It is not an efficient hunting tool; its combat use is mostly incidental.
• Do not let it run out of power, or it will break and disappear.
• Its durability can be recharged at a Charging Station, and restoring 1 point of durability takes 600 seconds.

The Chainsaw’s availability and upkeep make it a long-term utility tool rather than a disposable upgrade. Once unlocked, it becomes a major convenience for land management, but players should still keep an eye on its power and recharge it before it is completely depleted.
