Boogie Board

Overview
The Boogie Board is a tool that improves movement in deep water when selected on the toolbelt. While in use, it raises the player’s swimming and diving speed to close to walking speed, making ocean travel much easier and helping avoid aquatic dangers such as sharks. It has no effect on land, so it is only useful once the player is already in the water.
There are two versions of the item: the yellow Boogie Board and the Striped Boogie Board. The yellow Boogie Board can be found in wooden chests inside treasure rooms in the Deep Mine. The Striped Boogie Board is obtained from a Jolly Sack and is only available during December, as part of the Festive Update. It can also rotate randomly on Jimmy’s Boat.
Because swimming and diving normally drain stamina, the Boogie Board is especially valuable for long-distance travel across water and for exploring areas where staying mobile is important, including the Undergrove. Its main benefit is speed and safety rather than any direct combat effect. When paired with a swimming buff, the player moves even faster in water, making it a strong option for routes that involve extended swimming.
- Use it while traveling through deep water to move much faster than normal swimming.
- It is useful for crossing oceans, reaching islands, and slipping past hostile aquatic threats.
- It does not affect movement on land, so it should be swapped out when you are back on shore.
- Swimming buffs from Coconut Drink, Seaweed Soup, and Caviar stack well with the Boogie Board’s speed boost.
- The yellow version comes from Deep Mine treasure rooms, while the striped version is a seasonal December item from Jolly Sacks or Jimmy’s Boat.
