Alpha Hammer

The Alpha Hammer is a craftable weapon obtained by talking to Ted Selly. It is a heavy hammer-type hunting weapon with a slow attack speed, high damage, and a chance to stun enemies. Unlike faster melee weapons, it rewards careful timing and positioning, but its swing can affect multiple targets at once.

When the player holds Left-Click or X on an Xbox controller, the hammer is raised overhead in preparation for an attack. After the swing, it releases a shockwave around the player that knocks back enemies and can stun them. This area-of-effect behavior makes it useful when fighting groups or when enemies are closing in, and its impact is similar to the Alpha Jackaroo’s area stomp.

The Alpha Hammer can also break Tin, Copper, and Iron ore rocks, giving it some mining utility in addition to combat. Its durability can be restored at the Repair Table.
