Balloon

The Balloon is a festive throwable-style tool obtained during Island Day festivities. If you speak to an NPC who is holding a balloon, they will offer one to you. The balloon can appear in either green or gold variants, and while held it lets you jump around and float a little in the air.

In practice, the Balloon is mostly a novelty and event item rather than a core progression tool, but it also has a crafting use. At the Hunter's Crafting Table, it can be used in the recipe for the Auto Animal Trap. The recipe consumes 1 Balloon or 1 Star Balloon for that craft, so event balloons can be worth keeping if you plan to make traps later.
