Shiny Disc

Shiny Disc is a collectible item used to unlock new technology for Franklyn to craft. It is one of the key discovery items in Dinkum, and new recipes are added by giving Franklyn a new Shiny Disc after a game update.

Shiny Discs can be obtained by breaking Old Barrels, breaking Wheelie Bins, or digging up treasure while Metal Detecting. Once you have one, take it to Franklyn’s Lab to unlock available technology and recipes. Franklyn also buys Shiny Discs, making them a sellable treasure item as well as a progression item.

• Give each new Shiny Disc to Franklyn to unlock more of his crafting options.
• Shiny Discs can be found through exploration, scavenging, and metal detecting rather than ordinary harvesting.
• Since they are tied to progression, it is usually better to donate a new disc first before selling extras.
