Arkycite

Used in chemical reactions for power generation and material synthesis.
Overview

Arkycite is used in combustion-style reactions and in synthesis recipes rather than as a raw mineral; it appears as an ingredient in power generation and material synthesis processes. It is also usable as ammunition for specific turrets that accept liquids as fuel (it is listed as usable as turret ammo in some references). The fluid is associated visually and spatially with Beryllic tiles and walls on Erekir, and Arkycite deposits commonly appear alongside those tiles.
Key mechanical properties reported for Arkycite are:
- Explosiveness: 0% (non-explosive).
- Flammability: 40% (can burn and interact with heat).
- Heat capacity: 50%.
- Viscosity: 70% (flows slower than low-viscosity liquids).
- Temperature: 50% (baseline thermal value).
- Boil point: 2 (data uses game-specific scale for boiling behavior).
Arkycite has a few notable interactions and implications:
- It is used inside the
Neoplasia Reactor together with
Phase Fabric; the reactor’s interaction implies Arkycite transforms into or produces
Neoplasm, a biological product. This behavior supports the interpretation that Arkycite may be biological in nature.
- Its chemical roles (combustion, pyrolysis and cyanogen synthesis references) imply the presence of carbon and nitrogen in its makeup, though this is an inference from its in-game uses rather than a direct chemical formula.
- Deposits and aesthetic pairing with Beryllic tiles suggest a regional origin on certain asteroid clusters and on the Erekir map; asteroid clusters near Gier and Notva are cited as likely sources.
Practical notes for players:
- Because Arkycite is flammable but non-explosive, store and pipe it away from open high-temperature sources when you need to avoid unintended burning; controlled burning can be used in liquid-fueled turrets or reactors that consume flammable liquids.
- Its relatively high viscosity makes it slower to pump and move; use adequate pump capacity and plan piping to avoid throughput bottlenecks.
- Use Arkycite in production chains that require biological or combustible inputs (for example, reactors or synthesis buildings that accept it alongside Phase Fabric).
- When building around Erekir, expect Arkycite pockets to appear with Beryllic tiles and plan base layout and resource collection accordingly.
- The current in-game sprite was created by contributor stacktrace-error; the fluid is sometimes colloquially called “
Wet-Green.”
