Pig

Pigs are a domestic animal and the female counterpart to Boars. They can be tamed, bred, led with ropes, and fenced into pens, making them one of the livestock animals players can raise for food and breeding. When killed, a Pig drops Raw Pork.

Pigs are not found in the wild and cannot be obtained from villages. Instead, they are sold by visiting Farmers and visiting Animal Keepers, and they may also spawn in the Homestead preset. Pigs sold by these traders are already tame when purchased, and their availability is tied to progression, as they only appear after the Pirate Captain has been defeated.

To keep a Pig, use ropes to move it into a secure enclosure and feed it Wheat over time, either directly by hand or through a nearby Feeding Trough, until it becomes tame if it is not already. Once tame, a Pig can breed with a tame Boar when both animals are ready to breed. Their breeding interval is 24 minutes, and their maturation rate is 32 minutes.
