Molten Copper

Overview
Molten Copper is the liquid form of copper that is produced by Copper Volcanoes in periodic eruptions. It behaves like a hot liquid metal resource and is most often encountered as a geologically generated output rather than a crafted material.
A Copper Volcano periodically ejects Molten Copper at varying rates, with a regeneration output of 80.1–240.3 kg/cycle. Because the eruption rate changes over time, the amount available from a given volcano is not constant from cycle to cycle. Molten Copper is typically something the colony must contain, cool, and then process into usable metal products.
When handling a Copper Volcano, the main practical concern is temperature control. The volcano outputs extremely hot material, so nearby infrastructure must be built to survive heat and to keep the erupting liquid from damaging machinery or flooding the area. As with other volcanic sources, planning for storage, cooling, and safe transit is important if the colony is to make reliable use of the resource.
In general, Molten Copper is valuable because it provides copper directly in liquid form, allowing colonies to recover metal from a natural source instead of depending entirely on mining and refining solid ore.
