Brackene

Brackene is a plant-based and ranch-produced resource that can be processed from several crop ingredients or collected directly from a Gassy Moo. It is made in the Plant Pulverizer from 10 Sleet Wheat Grain + 15 kg Water = 20 kg Brackene, 3000 g Pincha Peppernut + 17 kg Water = 20 kg Brackene, or 2 Nosh Bean + 18 kg Water = 20 kg Brackene. A milking cycle at a Milking Station produces 200 kg of Brackene from a Gassy Moo. One source also lists 2000 g Dew + 20 kg Brackene as an additional pulverizer recipe.

Brackene has a few practical uses, both for morale management and ranching. It can be used with a Water Cooler, where it improves the morale bonus to +3 and reduces stress by 15% per cycle. The effect described as only a “small amount of stress” is actually significant, since the latrine-style bonus is a full -5% stress per cycle for an entire cycle. In ranches, feeding Brackene to critters in a Stable that also has a Critter Fountain grants them a temporary +5 Happiness bonus.
