Solid Resin

Solid Resin is the solidified form of the liquid resin produced by Specimen 52B. It appears when the creature’s internal temperature is allowed to drop too low, preventing normal secretion and causing the material to harden instead.

When Specimen 52B contains more than 5 kg of liquid resin and its body temperature falls below 17°C, the resin will no longer drip normally from the side ducts. Instead, it solidifies into Solid Resin and forms a clump in the center tile beneath the creature, effectively burying it.

• Keep Specimen 52B above 17°C if you want normal liquid resin production.
• Letting it cool below that threshold turns production into Solid Resin instead of a usable liquid secretion.
• The solidified material forms directly under the creature, so it can interfere with the space below it if left unmanaged.
