Coral

Overview
Coral is a collectible decorative item found growing in the Northern Ocean and the Island Reef. It comes in several variants, including Bird Nest Coral, Blue Staghorn Coral, Green Staghorn Coral, Green Tube Coral, Pink Coral, Brain Coral, and coral fragments such as Blue Table Coral Fragment and Pink Table Coral Fragment.
Coral is harvested by striking it with a tool, such as an axe, pickaxe, jackhammer, or chainsaw. Once dislodged, it can be picked up as an item and carried in the inventory. It can then be replanted by clicking a tile in water, at which point it appears fully grown immediately.
Single-tile coral can also be reproduced by placing it in Flower Beds and Pots next to an empty tile of the same type of planter. Coral can be placed in Waterbeds as well, but it will not reproduce there. The multi-tiled table coral fragments cannot be placed in Flower Beds or Waterbeds, so they are limited to direct display or placement in suitable water tiles.
Because coral is a living sea organism rather than a plant, it serves as one of the game’s more unusual decorative natural items. Its bright appearance makes it useful for aquatic landscaping, especially when building around ponds, coastal areas, or reef-themed areas on the island.
