Coral Acacia Tree

Source
Island Reef Coral Acacia Seed

Overview

The Coral Acacia Tree is a naturally growing tree found in the Island Reef biome. It is a source of hard wood and Coral Acacia Seeds, and it can also be grown in other biomes if a seed is planted in dirt or sand. Once planted, it takes 5 days to reach full height.

Coral Acacia Trees can be chopped with a Basic Axe or any better axe. Harvesting a tree normally yields 3 Hard Wood Logs, and chopping the stump gives 4 logs instead. It also drops 1–2 Coral Acacia Seeds, which can be used to replant the tree elsewhere. Seeds can also be obtained as random drops from the Bountiful Wish sparkling fish.

A planted seed only needs a dug hole and suitable ground to grow, so Coral Acacia is one of the more flexible tree types for expanding hard wood production outside its native biome. The Plant Book can be used on the tree to check its maturity; once it is fully grown, the book no longer displays data for it.

There is also a chance for a Bee Hive to spawn when a Coral Acacia Tree is chopped down. There is no in-game indicator that shows which individual trees contain hives, so every tree should be treated as a possible hive source when harvesting.
