Bee Hive

The Bee Hive is a large item that can be found when chopping down Gum Trees, Blackwood Trees, or Coral Acacia Trees. Blackwood Trees have a higher chance of spawning one, but there is no visible sign before a tree is cut down, so finding a hive is always a matter of luck. Once collected, it can be carried overhead or placed on a vehicle for transport, and it can also pass through the Tele Tower or Tele Pad while being held.

The hive can be brought to John’s Goods and weighed on the scale, where John will offer a sale price based on its weight. If the offer is not good enough, it is possible to sleep, save, reload, and weigh it again in hopes of a better price. The Bee Hive can also be kept as a decoration or held onto for NPC photo requests. Another way to sell it is to take photos of it with a Camera or Camera Tripod and then sell it to John.

When broken open with the proper tool in the toolbelt, the Bee Hive releases its contents. It can contain one of the following combinations:

• 1 Bee, 1 Honey, and 1 Queen Bee
• 2 Bees and 1 Honey
• 2 Queen Bees and 1 Honey

The Queen Bee is used in crafting, making the Bee Hive more valuable than a simple sellable object. Because it can be transported intact and later opened for resources, it serves both as a tradable item and a source of useful bee-related materials.
