Beach Ball

The Beach Ball is a playful item found as random loot in a buried blue chest on Island Reef. It can be carried in the player’s inventory, and unlike many portable objects it has two distinct states: inflated and deflated. The item is mainly used for informal play rather than crafting or progression, but it is fully persistent once placed in the world.

When an inflated Beach Ball is dropped with the left mouse button, it can be bumped into and sent flying, making it a simple recreational object for players to kick around. If you want to pick up an inflated Beach Ball again, it must be destroyed with a weapon first. A deflated Beach Ball can be placed on the ground by pressing Q; this version remains in the world even after sleeping or exiting the game, so it can be used as a lasting decoration or marker.
