Spinifex Tuft

Spinifex Tuft is a harvestable desert and tropical plant found mainly in the Tropics and the Desert. It can be cut down with a scythe, any weapon, or a chainsaw, and it can also be dug up with a shovel. Using a scythe is efficient because it can cut multiple bushes at once, while a chainsaw removes them very quickly. An Iron Scythe can clear an area of 3×2 tiles.

Spinifex Tufts respawn only on tropical grass, so cutting them in the desert does not create a renewable source there. They can be buried and used as decoration like a plant; although they appear brown in the inventory, placing them in the ground makes them look green and fully grown.
