Wheelbarrow

The Wheelbarrow is a carry item that can be purchased from John’s Goods after John moves to the island. In the shop display, it appears as a green box on the center table and rotates randomly with the Hand Trolley. It is used to transport loose materials more efficiently, especially dirt, sand, and mud, and it also counts toward movement and terraforming milestones.

The Wheelbarrow can hold items that are normally carried over the head, making it useful for moving small loads without repeated trips. Its most notable function is storing up to 10 shovels’ worth of dirt, sand, or mud before it becomes full. This makes it a practical tool for landscaping, path building, and larger construction projects where blocks of terrain need to be relocated.

A few handling details are important when using it:

• You can empty it by shoveling the dirt, sand, or mud back out, or by breaking the Wheelbarrow.
• If the Wheelbarrow contains dirt, sand, or mud when the game is closed, it will be empty when the save is reopened.
• When a mix of dirt, sand, and mud is placed into it, shoveling the contents back out returns them in reverse order of how they were added.

Because it tracks movement and material relocation, the Wheelbarrow can contribute to the I drive milestone for traveling distance and the Wheelie Cool milestone for moving dirt, sand, and mud. This makes it both a convenience item and a progression tool for players who spend time shaping the island.
