Cryotank 3000 is a special building used to store a Duplicant in suspended animation. It is presented as an old, frost-covered tank with a silhouette barely visible through the glass, and even after the occupant is defrosted the visual cue remains in the tooltip.

Although it appears to be a large 3×3 structure, its actual footprint is only 1×2 tiles, making it much easier to place than its sprite suggests. One source also describes its true dimensions as 2×3, so the important practical point is that the visible art is larger than the space it occupies in the world.

A Cryotank 3000 does not always contain the same Duplicant. The occupant is randomized each time it is refreshed, which means players can use save and reload behavior to try for a desired Duplicant. This makes the building useful not only as a storage object, but also as a way to control or reroll who appears inside it.
