Crushed Satellite

Crushed Satellite is a derelict satellite remnant: all that remains of a once peacefully orbiting satellite. It appears as a salvageable world object rather than a functional building, and its main purpose is to be examined and searched for loot.

Interacting with a Crushed Satellite can produce resources in two steps. Inspecting it grants 1 item, and Searching it yields a larger haul:

• 5–9 of one resource
• 1 additional item that drops only from Crushed Satellite, not from the other two satellite variants
• one of three equal-probability bonus bundles:
  • 3 more items, for a total search yield of 8–12
  • 3 items
  • 3 items and 1 set

A Crushed Satellite can also be deconstructed, but doing so does not return any resources. For that reason, it is generally worth searching it before destroying it, since the salvage comes from interaction rather than demolition.
