Atmo Suit Checkpoint
Overview
An Atmo Suit Checkpoint is a transit building used to mark a proper entry or exit point for Exosuits. It is not a standalone access point on its own: a corresponding dock must be built on the opposite side of the direction indicated by its arrow. In practice, the checkpoint and dock work together to create a functional suit station, letting Duplicants pass through the suit system in an organized direction.
The arrow on the checkpoint matters for layout. The matching dock must be placed behind the arrow’s facing direction, not in front of it. This makes the building important when planning suit corridors, since the orientation determines where the associated dock has to go. A checkpoint without its paired dock is incomplete and will not function as intended.
Because of this directional requirement, Atmo Suit Checkpoints are usually placed as part of a controlled airlock or perimeter access route. They help define traffic flow around hazardous areas and make it easier to connect Exosuit storage and access points in a consistent line. When planning a base layout, leave enough space on the correct side of the checkpoint for the dock it requires.
Practical notes:
- The checkpoint’s arrow shows which side the linked dock must be built on.
- The dock has to be on the opposite side of the arrow, not adjacent on the same side.
- A checkpoint without its corresponding dock is not a complete suit access setup.
- Proper orientation is especially important when extending suit corridors or retrofitting a base entrance.
The building is part of the broader Exosuit system, which is used to protect Duplicants from dangerous environments. It is commonly paired with suit docks, Exosuit Forges, and other infrastructure that supports suit transport, storage, and maintenance.
