Tanning Rack

Overview
The Tanning rack is a Workbench upgrade that increases the Workbench’s level when placed close enough to it. It must be positioned within 2 meters of a Workbench to count as an upgrade, and like other building pieces it is placed using the Hammer under the crafting tab.
The Tanning rack is unlocked once Wood, Flint, Leather Scraps, and Deer Hide have been obtained. A nearby Workbench is required to place it. Because it is an upgrade rather than a standalone station, its main purpose is to improve the usefulness of the Workbench by raising its upgrade level and expanding what can be crafted and supported at that station.
Practical placement is straightforward: build the Workbench first, then attach the Tanning rack immediately beside it so the upgrade connection is recognized. If it is too far away, it will not function as an upgrade. Since the Workbench is a basic early-game station, the Tanning rack is one of the first ways to improve your crafting setup and should be placed wherever you intend to do regular building, repair, and equipment crafting.
