Tool Shelf
Overview
Tool shelf is a Workbench upgrade that must be placed within 2 meters of a Workbench to improve it. Like other upgrade pieces, it extends the crafting station rather than functioning as a station on its own.
It is unlocked once Iron, Finewood, and Obsidian have been obtained. To place it, use the Hammer under the Crafting tab. A nearby Forge is required for placement, but the shelf does not need the Forge to keep working after it is built.
Because it is a Workbench upgrade, it is mainly useful for expanding access to higher-tier crafting and construction options at your base. Keep it close enough to the Workbench to count as an upgrade, and make sure the Workbench itself is protected and properly set up before placing the shelf.
