Overview

Farmers are hostile human enemies commonly found throughout the game, especially in the village and inside Toolboxes. They are tied to the Canaanite faction and act as aggressive defenders of their territory, standing guard in fixed locations before attacking any intruders they can see. They will also try to sound an alarm to bring reinforcements, making them more dangerous than a lone melee opponent.

In combat, Farmers are durable and attack with a pitchfork. Their charge can be easy to mistake for a normal approach, but it is a distinct rush that can catch the player, deal damage, and push them backward. That attack also has a small chance to inflict bleeding. Because of this, close-range fights can become messy if you let them build momentum or fight near other enemies.

A good way to handle Farmers is to keep distance and punish their advances with ranged weapons, or to use hit-and-run tactics with melee weapons. If you do fight up close, watch carefully for the charge animation and do not overcommit after a swing, since their reach and pushing attack can disrupt timing. Since they are often stationed in groups or near alarm points, eliminating them quickly before they can call help is usually safer than trading hits.

Farmers can drop useful materials and gear when defeated. Their drops include Silver Scrap and Pitchforks, each with a 10% chance. They also have harvestable drops: Human Skull is obtained 100% of the time, and Pilgrim Hat has a 10% chance. These rewards make them worth engaging even when you can avoid them, especially if you want their equipment or faction-themed loot.
