Nyth

Nyth is a hostile gelatinous gastropodal creature encountered in the defunct mine regions of the GATE Cascade Research Facility. GATE’s compendium identifies it as A299-E, a previously unknown entity believed to originate from Anteverse 299, and notes that recent perforation events caused both the creature and what is presumed to be part of its hive to manifest underground. It is described as immense, disoriented, and obsessively driven by nourishment, with a conspicuous protrusion on the front of its skull.

In combat, Nyth moves in a staged pattern. It crawls through tunnels and will damage players on contact, usually repeating the same route until disturbed. The fight centers on targeting its core and maintaining damage until it burrows away and enters the next stage; after three stages, it is defeated. Nyth does not trigger tripmines, which makes mine placement less effective against it than against many other threats.

Defeating Nyth unlocks the Hive Larva Suit recipe if it has not already been learned. Its drops include Core Fragment, Raw Hive Larva Meat, and a Hive Larva Figurine.

• Nyth’s movement is tunnel-based, so positional awareness matters more than open-ground kiting.
• Since it repeats its route until disturbed, you can anticipate its path after observing its behavior.
• Its multi-stage fight means sustained pressure is more important than burst damage alone.
• Tripmines do not activate on Nyth, so rely on direct damage and other defensive setups instead.
