Big Rock

Overview
Big Rock is a large, breakable rock resource found throughout the Island. It appears most often in the Desert and along the Ocean, where some rocks may have coral growing on them. Those ocean rocks can be cleared using a specific underwater method, and the game notes that underwater rock breaking has two possible approaches, one of which involves the Diving Helmet.
Big Rocks are a source of crafting materials rather than a permanent terrain feature. When broken, each one drops 4 items, and the possible drops have different chances, making them a useful but somewhat variable way to gather raw resources. Since they are scattered across the map, they can be harvested whenever the player has the means to break them, with desert and ocean areas providing the densest concentrations.
- Big Rocks are common across the Island, with the highest abundance in the Desert and Ocean.
- Ocean Big Rocks can have coral on them.
- Coral-covered ocean rocks can be removed by using the underwater breaking method that requires the Diving Helmet.
- Breaking a Big Rock yields 4 resource drops.
- The drop table includes results with chances of 50%, 2.5%, 32.5%, and 15%.
Because Big Rocks produce crafting resources, they are worth clearing whenever they are encountered, especially in regions where they are concentrated. Their distribution makes them a reliable part of regular exploration, and underwater rocks in particular can be harvested once the player is prepared for submerged collection.
