Boom Box

The Boom Box is an animated furniture item that plays music when held or placed down. It can be purchased from Jimmy’s Boat once per visit. When a player gets close to it, the current background music in the area fades out, letting the Boom Box take over as the active soundtrack.

Boom Boxes can play different tracks by inserting Cassette Tapes into them. These tapes can be obtained in several ways, including from NPC shops, mine treasure chests, and Jimmy’s Boat. A different tune plays when using the Festive Boom Box, making it a separate music variant rather than just a visual change.

Its playback volume is affected by the Music Volume setting, so players can adjust how loud it is through the normal audio options. Like other furniture items with special behavior, it can be carried around and used as a portable music player, or placed as part of a base, shop, or event space to create a custom atmosphere.
