Bottle Tree

Bottle Tree is a tree that naturally grows in the Plains. It does not drop seeds when cut down and does not respawn once removed, so any new Bottle Tree must be grown from a Bottle Tree Seed.

A Bottle Tree can be chopped with a Basic Axe or any better axe. Cutting the trunk yields 2 Bottle Tree Wood, and chopping the stump gives 3 Bottle Tree Wood total. The tree takes a very long time to mature from a planted seed: a Bottle Tree Seed must be buried in a hole and can grow in any biome as long as it is planted in dirt or sand, but it only reaches full size after 71 days.

Bottle Tree Seeds are rare and can be obtained in a few ways:

• Sent in the Mailbox after turning in a trapped Cockatoo at an Animal Collection Point
• As a rare drop from hunting a cockatoo, sometimes from one found on the ground after a predator has hunted it
• Rarely from a Recycling Bin

Using the Plant Book on a Bottle Tree shows its maturity while it is still growing. Once fully grown, the book no longer displays its data.
