Cooking Table

The Cooking Table is a crafting station used to prepare meals. It can be made from the Crafting Table inside the Base Tent Deed as early as Day 1, letting the player start cooking before building a dedicated setup elsewhere. Once available, it becomes the place where all cooking recipes are accessed.

Food made at a Cooking Table is worth the combined value of its ingredients, so cooking is a straightforward way to turn raw materials into finished meals. It is also the station used for the full range of food recipes, not just a small subset, which makes it an important part of early and mid-game progression.

Some of the available recipes include:

• Meat Stick, made with Raw Meat and Mangrove Stick
• Croco Skewer, made with Croco Meat, Onion, and Mangrove Stick
• Dagwood Dog, made with Corn, Raw Meat, and Mangrove Stick
• Meat Pie, made with Plant Book, Raw Meat, and Raw Drumstick
• Pastie, made with Flour, Cabbage, Carrot, and Potato
• Sausage Roll, made with Flour, Chicken Egg or Big Chicken Egg, Raw Meat, and Onion
• Bread, made with Flour
• Fairy Bread, made with Bread and Sugar

Because the Cooking Table accepts the full set of cooking recipes, it is useful for turning farm crops, animal products, and basic gathered ingredients into more valuable food. Recipes such as Bread and Fairy Bread are especially simple, while others like Pastie and Sausage Roll combine several different ingredients into a single meal.
