Display Pedestal

The Display Pedestal is a decorative display item that can be purchased at the Museum Deed. It is placed outdoors only, and is used to present carriable items in a more formal way than simply dropping them on the ground.

When a carriable is placed on a display pedestal, it is automatically centered and enclosed in glass, much like the Display Case. Even with the glass cover, the item can still be retrieved: a Pick Up prompt appears, allowing the player to take the display back down at any time. Bugs and fish can also be placed on the pedestal, but they are not sealed inside glass. Larger fish do not fit on a single display pedestal, though they can still be placed on it.

The pedestal also supports custom labeling. If the player wants text on the name plate, the Signwriting Pen must be used before placing the item on top. Standing in front of an empty display pedestal while holding the Signwriting Pen will show a Write prompt, allowing the plate to be prepared in advance.

Unlike the Display Case, the Display Pedestal cannot be moved with the hand trolley, so it should be placed carefully before setting up a display. This makes it best suited for permanent or semi-permanent outdoor exhibits, especially when showcasing collectibles, fish, or other carried objects in a tidy presentation.
