Museum Deed

A deed to build a museum that will catalogue all the island's wildlife.
Overview
The Museum is a public building run by Theodore that displays the fish, bugs, and critters donated by the player. Theodore arrives at the Visitors Site after John has moved in, and once he is ready to move in, speaking to Fletch about the town unlocks the Museum Deed. The player can then choose where to place the building, but construction does not begin until all required materials have been placed in the deposit box on the build site.
Once built, the Museum becomes the main place to turn in wildlife donations. Fish, bugs, and critters can be donated even while Theodore is still in his tent, and each donation contributes toward the Museum collection. There are two signs at the entrance that show the numbers caught, and inside the building the bug exhibit is on the left while the fish and critter exhibit is on the right. Donations appear in tanks in the appropriate rooms. The Museum also awards Permit Points whenever the player donates one of each acceptable item type.
The main room includes picture frames where photographs taken with the Camera or Camera Tripod can be placed. After the full pedia of bugs, fish, and critters is completed, the Butter Glider appears on a display table behind Theodore and becomes available for purchase.
- The Museum deed is obtained by speaking to Fletch about the town after Theodore is ready to move in.
- The building does not start construction until the required materials are placed in the deposit box at the build site.
- A donation box in the Base Tent Deed or Town Hall is used to pay off the Town Debt.
- All debts must be fully paid before another deed can be applied for.
- After construction begins, the Museum takes 2 nights to complete.
- Bug, Critter, and Fish books become available only after the combined Museum collection reaches 50% completion.
- The Museum purchase display also includes items that rotate with the Camera Tripod and the Camera, with their availability tied to donation progress.
- Completion of 100% donations unlocks the full set of Museum purchase options shown by Theodore.
The Museum serves both as a collection center and as a progression milestone, tying wildlife hunting, donation completion, and several unlocks together in one building.
